Formatting a blank DVD

    sorry jeninkent. yes, it's a VHS/DVD combo with " one touch copying" tsk.

    these are re - writable , maybe that's the problem.?

    There's a computer repair place in town. I'll go in there tomorrow and ask his / her advice.

    it's only 1.5miles to town and I think being there , rather than at the end of a phone might make him/ her more helpful?

    That's has just given me a thought Hosta. I remember someone sent a video to me once and I took it into Hockridge and Stacey who copied it for me for very little money. Maybe your shop will do that or give H&S a ring.

    Thanks Lyn. I've copied stuff from vhs to dvd before, just can't understand what's happening this time.

  • Re-writeable DVDs do need to be formatted (it might be called 'erase disc' in a menu somewhere) if they've been used before.  This has to be done even on computers.
