is this a perennial?

 I was just about to compost this and then thought it looked a bit like a coreopsis.

Could anyone tell me if this is a perennial before I do for it?

In London. Keen but lazy.

    Bidens aurea is usually described as a perennial, and is similar to yours. Dunno what species you have though.

    Stems covered in shoots so I wondered. Will put it somewhere sheltered and see what happens. Thanks AC

    I don't know these but some many plants sold as annuals are really tender perennials.
