Paper white narcissus
I've bought some paper white bulbs and I'm planning on growing them in water in glass tanks to flower at Christmas. I know about watering them with a water/alcohol solution to stunt growth and minimise flopping but I've got 2 questions. First, when should I plant them? I've read anything from 3 weeks to 40 days as the interval between planting and flowering. Second, once they've flowered, can I keep them to flower again? If so, what do I do?
I'll be grateful for all advice from you guys.

I've found that they rarely flower a second year - the bulbs having been exhausted because they've not been able to replenish the energy used as they've been grown in water. I think most people discard them after Christmas.
