Hi Pippa I planted winter cyclamen last year in a woodland garden will they come back for this winter? or should they be showing now anyway?

    I have been offered unlimited supplies of used coffee grounds from a local coffee shop which I am told are good for the garden however I am not too sure that all plants and vegetables will enjoy it. Can anyone help with advice.

    Hi Pippa
    When should winter flowering pansies start to bloom? I got some free small plug plants from the magazine a month or so ago, and they are all planted up, but no sign yet of any flowers. Should I feed them to get them going? My neighbours pots and baskets are flowering happily away.

    Hey Pippa, help please. I have just bought a lovely DAPHNE bholua 'Jaqueline Postill', a real bargain at twelve pounds. I want to give her a beautiful pot, but can you tell me which compost would keep her happy.

    i always find that cyclamen perish in the cold and frost, i keep trying but they don't seem hardy enough

    Hi Geri,
    just keep your "pansies" not too dry but leave the fertilizing as pansies do not like to be fed too much.

    I this year have forced some paper white narcissus planting bulbs at different weeks and now I have a pot of flowers that will continue to flower keeping me going through till christmas. They will cheer up the gloomy winter days.
