Don't let gnomes on that ladder, they'll wreck it. They're quite sturdy little chaps. I have a book....image

    Tetley,

I think you should try and make a "green" roof  ... maybe some mosses & litchen ... or with little sedums if it gets a bit of sun.

Runnybeak, want you to know I loved your bungalow comment even if nobody else has shown appreciation.

Speaking of wrens. We had some in the ivy by the patio. At dusk they would make a racket so we would have to go inside for 10 minutes so that they could  go into the nest which we didn't know was there. This game continued for weeks!

    In London. Keen but lazy.
  • Tetley - is that the technical name for a bat box?

For once I'm not teasing! I've just never heard them called that.

  • Ah! I have a box on the side of the house. As it is illegal to even touch them ever again after putting them up, I shall never know if it is occupied!
