To move apple trees or leave them behind

We are about to move house in two weeks and have two six foot, ten year old apple trees which were bought as a birthday present,it will be heart breaking to leave them but should I just start again or try to move them.

Unless you have specifically told the buyer of the house, in writing, you are taking them, you can't.

I'm not sure they would move anyway.

As Welshonion says - unless you've stated you're taking them, I'm afraid there's no decision to make.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

You could start with a new pot grown tree and graft a bit of each of your old trees on to it. Make a memory tree.

If they're in a pot, take them, if they're in the ground, leave them.

  • Thank you all I will leave them and start again.
