Flowering Seeds

Hello All,

So, I often go for walks in the countryside, and I thought it would be nice if I could brighten up a few hedgerows for next summer to make them even more buzzing with butterflies and insects.

What seed is easily available/cheap/plentiful and will grow easily by just being "chucked" in the hedge or ground in the right location. No digging etc. I'm thinking possibly foxgloves etc. I just want something I could maybe harvest now from the hedges or buy cheaply and then at the right time (when is that then?) just throw the seed in strategic locations and hope for the best.

Any ideas?
