My Standard Azalea

My precious Standard Azalea has got 'leggy' branches. Its now about 4' tall. The leaves all appear at the ends of the branches. Should I prune it back? I really don't want to loose this precious plant !

    Hi lynda you can't prune azaleas they won't shoot from old wood.Azaleas grow like thatimage

    Thanks Logan, that's good information! Thank goodness I didn't prune the azalea!
