Brussels sprouts

This is my first growing year and i am growing sprouts but the plants seemed to be leaning over. Is it OK to stake them so they are upright.

The normal advice is to plant them down to the first set of leaves and firm the soil well which helps to prevent the wind from rocking them which damages the roots. However, staking will do the same job so I would go for it, but don't put the stake in too close the the stem or you may damage the roots when pushing it in.
