My neighbour has just planted 30 2.5 mt Laurel trees alongside the lake I used to be able to see. Are Laurel trees safe for the wild life that live around the lake - ducks, swans, geese, fish etc
They'll be perfectly fine. They'll also provide good nest sites for birds, cover for hedgehogs and other small mammals, nectar for insects and berries for birds - not my favourite hedge plant but not a problem to wildlife.
