Newbie Help

Hello! I am a complete newbie to gardening so forgive me if this seems like a stupid question. I have a sweet chestnut and a lemon tree sitting in large pots in my house at the moment. I grew them from a supermarket lemon seed and chestnuts last year. The lemon tree is about 25 cm tall and the chestnut is about 45cm tall.

I am unsure if I should put them outside or keep them in for the winter? I also have a rosebush as well. Should I keep them in or put them out?

This house is rented so I can't plant them yet.

Lemons aren't hardy here, so that will have to be kept undercover most of the time anyway. They can usually go out in summer though.

Roses and chestnuts are hardy, so you could gradually acclimatise them to outside temps by putting them out for a while each day and bringing them back in overnight. Once they're happy enough you can leave them out, but as we're now almost in November, I'd keep them somewhere sheltered as they're young immature plants and therefore a bit vulnerable.  Put them against the house wall for instance, which prevents them getting waterlogged in heavy rain, and in the coldest (frosty/snowy)  weather you could protect them with fleece.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Thanks Fairygirl ^^

Unfortunately my rosebush has gotten infected or something. I am not sure what to do but it looks pretty dead now =[ Little webs and yellowish eggs (???) appeared over night.

Lemon and chestnut are doing well though ^^
