questions about plants
Hi
I've just turned over a patch of soil and have a Plumbago in a pot which I would like to plant there. It filled the pot VERY quickly so I'm wondering if it's invasive, and how hardy it is. I live in North Wales.
Thanks.

You'll have to define plumbago or post a pic. I can think of several plants that are known as plumbago

Just identified it as Ceratostigma Plumbaginoides. It's about 12ins tall and has beautiful autumn colour. I want to plant it between other clump forming plants, and don't want anything that it going to come up in the middle of them.
Yes, you're right to be suspicious. It might do just that. It's been in my garden for years so I think it's hardy. I love it but that great red can be lost unless it's grown hard, (starved in a pot or in not very good soil)

Thanks so much nutcutlet, I won't risk it. It's very pot-bound so I'll just re-pot it and not feed it. I wanted a small blue-flowered plant that's clump-forming really, I will have to carry on the search. Everything grows taller and wider than expected in my garden, as it was a field before and the soil is too good!
Thanks Tetley. I think maybe the patch of soil is big enough to keep an eye on the spread of the Ceratostigma, so I've decided to give it a go.
