My slate planter. Five pieces of slate, 2 of each size for sides and one for base. Make holes in all corners. Thread wire through matching holes to make box. Twist until tight. No need for drainage holes - water escapes through sides. I have grown cowslips, alpine strawberries and echeverias in this and a larger planter.
