Moving Crocosmia Lucifer

Hi all These are the last ones to be moved into their new place in the border tomorrow (it's still cozy here in the Midlands, no sign of frost), but I'm hesitating whether to cut the leaves off or not. Will they still charge the bulbs now? They're starting to turn yellow... Many thanks!

  • I divide Lucifer every autumn and give to friends. I did this last week and cut leaves off so left bulb and about 4inches of stem. They always take and flower the following year. image

I'd happily agree with the above.

I'd like to take Crocosmia Lucifer with us when we move. Early August, out of season. Will I save any of them, older corms and lose this year's growth? TY
