Spraying

I bought 20 Raspberry canes from Blackmore Nurseries last autumn more than half of these failed although they have replaced them.Maybe i,ll be luckier this year.I have two summer fruiting growing although a bit pathetic. (Glen Prosen). The five autunm fruiting canes ( Erica) that grew two of which gave teriffic berries really brings me to my point which is spraying. I lost fruit to insects and I did notice some very small green flies on the fruit I did spray a little fairy liquid well dilluted I do not know if this was ok. I did try reading about it but my eyes are not good can anyone help. I also bought two Blackcurrant and a Gooseberry from Blackmore and they were fantastic for such young plants. Now then I bought 50 Daffodil bulbs I would like to plant them in the same pots as the Erica Raspberries as by the Erica is ready the Daffs would have done there thing ( Im thinking } Is this ok to do.

  • Yes I have no garden

  • On you tube there are lots of videos planting raspberry/blackcurrant and gooseberry in pots but I do understand what you are saying

  • I am sorry I obviosly caused offence it was certainly not intended and my knowledge is most certainly not up to questioning pansy,s reply but I am more concerned about spraying. And no there is no outside space apart from the flat roof where my pots are.

  • Certainly none taken but can you help with sprays

  • Thank you Philippa but I have just recieved 20 replacement canes from blackmore so I,ll give it this year and see what happens. I am really dissapointed with blackmore as I explained to them what I was going to do before buying the plants last year they even advised about pot size and even replaced the cains nowing that they failed. What with pots feed compost and the like it has cost me a lot of money to set this up. I wish I spoke to you guys a year ago.
