I'm new to all this and not quite sure if I should have started a new thread so apologies if in advance if I'm going about this all wrong.
My garden is heavy clay and gets extremely boggy during the wetter months. Apart from digging it over with sand, is there anything I could sow on the lawn to help it with drainage? Thank you.

No, if the weather's mild and it's still growing you can mow it through the winter - but only when the grass is dry and not if frost is forecast.
