unknown plant

Hi

I have found a plant that looks like a very large day lily, it has pink trumpet flowers with the usual long slim leaves of day lily's but its about 3ft tall and the flowers are very large, the flowers are at the end of slim straight stems and are in groups of about 3-4 flowers on each, it flowered heavily during Aug, It looks almost tropical, I don't have a picture unfortunately at the moment but does anyone have any suggestions? thankyou

It might be nerine bowdenii. Is it growing in a dry sunny spot?

  • Hi thanks for looking,  I've just looked at the nerines and I would say the flowers are too slim, the flowers are the same as Day Lily but larger, the leaves are also much thickerimage
