I had some Lily of the Valley, only a small amount, in a shady place, really wanted it as my Grandma was called Lily. Didn't do much at all for a few years. So this year I watered it and loved it, it had loads of flowers. Lovely, but it has gone"daft" taken over the entire bed. Sad to say I will try and dig it out in the spring and see if some will grow in a pot.
Had some in a fairly large pot for a couple of years .... just one flower stem this year (none the first year) - transplanted some last week into a smaller pot - put in cold g/house - see if they will do any better and maybe flower early so can be brought indoors whilst in flower. If this doesn't work I'll bin them all! in no decent flowers again this year.
I cannot get it to grow - have tried slips, established plants, bulbs.... they all die. Cannot work out why as I have exactly the conditions it is supposed to like. Must have spent a fortune on trying!

Some times it takes 2 to 3 years to settle and come in to flower. It is not that good for guys to frow as you need patience.......lol
I've finally got some to grow. Third try. This plant took over most of my mum's front garden but I couldn't get it going.
