Hardy Chrysanthemums
The October issue of The Garden lists many varieties of Hardy Chrysanthemums, yet when I looked one up that took my fancy (Bronze Elegance) on Gardeners World web site it was described as half hardy. What varieties have members overwinted over the last few years - not just last year which was unusually mild.

I have just bought a Chrysanthemum from Lidl, it is huge. I am going to put it into a bigger pot and pop it into the greenhouse at night and bring it out in the morning just in case it doesn't like the cold nights. I do hope that I can keep it going for a long time.
I have never grown Chrysanthemums at all. I saw this one in Lidl and it looked so lovely I had to have it. I'm not sure if they are truly hardy, I have had a hunt on the internet to try and find out some info and like you say they are described as half hardy. They like a sunny spot and may need staking from the Autumn winds we sometimes get and you can take cuttings from February to May. Hope yours survives and gives you plenty of flowers. Good Luck.
