Hi darren, i grow scotch bonnet amongst other peppers in my greenhouse, and they do fine but they don't grow as tall as my other pepper plants, i would say about 12 inches tall is about what mine grow, and i find i have to water them a little more than i do my other peppers.
Hy Darren, newbie here and new to chillie growing too!! I note your concern was FIVE years ago now and just wondered how you got on at that time, did your ''scotty bonn'' survive--i really do hope so!?! I started off with 3 simple scotch bonnet seeds, 2 years ago and still have that same plant, it's doing ok. I now have growing ANOTHER scotty bonn-(for my landlady!)-a Komodo dragon, a thai hot, a dorset naga, a green padron, a 'reaper', and a pimento-the last 4 are seedlings, the 1st 3 are 2 pot sizes up. Never in my life have i ever grown anything before, when i have tried it has normally died in the garden, not so chillie growing, it has taken over my life!!! All the best now!
