I was sure I was going to win the garden bench in the 'win' section this month -I had even picked the perfect spot
ah well.....better luck this time - although I don't think I will use the wooden crates instead of a Christmas tree but will look lovely planted up in the garden (I'm sure I'm going to win -ever the optimist!). What's the best thing you've ever won?

The chance to meet the writer Wilbur Smith at his 80th birthday celebration in London. I didn't think I'd get picked, but I did. Unfortunately I couldn't go due to my boys not being well, and I got a nice email from him.
I won £360.00 and then £80.00 on the lottery. Two weeks running.
when I was a teenager I won a book on lampshade making.
nothing interesting though.
Wow! That was a good prize but what a lovely mum putting your boys first...
I won a trolley dash in a local supermarket.

My mother-in-law used to play the Times portfolio game religiously and we all made fun of her relentlessly. When she won £8000 and distributed it all as presents for her children then we really had to eat humble pie!
I used to listen to local radio " up country"

tickets to see the divine Damien Rice at Wembley

and more ( too late to remember all of them)
I once won a return ticket.
