As I've said, I don't use Roseclear or anything like it - but there's no way I'd use it on fruit or veg - Roseclear blurb states that it is for use on ornamental plants - that is not fruit and veg!!! Goodness knows how long it remains in the plant but for heaven's sake don't eat anything you've sprayed with it!!!

i am trying to acheive the same as you Dove, i sometimes find a frog in the garden but we never have hedgehogs dont know why
Can hedgehogs get in and out of your garden little-ann? It's amazing how nowadays gardens have impenetrable fences so hedgehogs can't get about from garden to garden - hedgehogs need quite a large territory and need to be able to meet up with other hedgehogs for all that noisy canoodling - we have a little Hedgehog Gate cut in the bottom of our back fence and they come in and out of there

I don't use any sprays apart from home made remedies. Birds are encouraged into the garden and we seem to have reached a happy compromise this year, the veg they can't have is all netted although cabbage white butterflies have squeezed through the netting which is a pain.
Last year there were at least 4 different varieties of bee's in the garden, which I thought quite respectable for a small plot. I confess to using slug pellets but not in huge quantities. My worst problem this year, to date are lilly beetles. There are lots of spiders, woodlice and worms this year but not many ladybirds. I only learnt last year what their larvae looked like so may have squashed a few ., was quite suprised at how different they look to ladybirds but then caterpillars don't look much like butterflies
Sorry to say -but this has all got a bit preachy-the question was about pesticides -that has now turned into a more emotive word called poisons,
Now one should feel guilty about protecting their crop with whatever means they like but is is all about moderation and following instructions
Roseclear is for roses not vegetables-the clue is in the name
As for PTLanscape-nice advert by the way-that clearly is a load of old nonsense-surprised you have made it this far-presumably you drive and operate machinery in your work-chucking out a few fumes??
A bit of proportion is needed-too much scaremongering-no facts

For goodness sake lay off the poisons
In the sticks near Peterborough
I don't use sprays in the garden. last year I seemed to get a balance and with plenty of ladybirds very little aphid trouble.
However this year I have only seen a couple of ladybirds, I have greenfly, white fly everywhere, I did see a hover fly today but the only one.
Where have my beneficial insects gone? Any ideas?
i haven't got them honest
It's been late warming up, and we did have a rotten summer last year.

This would apply to every foodstuff that is produced, and is scare-mongering over-the-top Daily Mail talk. Back it up with facts, please.
