I planted a lot of different Allium bulbs in September for next spring but they are already started to pop through the soil in my beds and planters. Is this normal?.
Yes ,it is normal. Many of the taller Alliums come from the Steppes, so they tend to be cold weather growers. Roots and leaves appear before the flower stalks and are often dried up and gone when the flowers start. They are as tough as you would imagine anything coming from the Russian Steppes to be.

Some bulbs do that every year. They'll slow down when it gets cold
In the sticks near Peterborough
My allium bulbs did that last year and flowered nicely this year
The alliums tend to do that

Great thanks, wasn't sure as i've never grown alliums before.
I was worried about my Allium bulbs, as I planted them in early October, & they are beginning to show. I have no experience with them at all
It is more the allium bulbs that have been planted the previous years that come up faster than the ones planted this year
I planted up a few pots with alium bulbs a few weeks ago, this is one of them today..
And the crocus are poking through as well..
With this very warm weather everything is appearing earlier than normal. Nature will sort itself out!
