What is it?
in Plants
When we were in Mallorca in September I took a photo of this plant. It has really intense colouring and I'd love to have it in my garden but so far have been unable to identify it.
Ideas, anyone?

It is a Ruellia sp.
Maybe Ruellia simplex?

The Bird Lady, it is stunning, do you think it would grow in this climate? If it doesn,t then flax would give you a similar flower.
A Mexican Bluebell!!! Wow. I'll do more research and see if I can grow it in the UK.
Thank you.
Bird lady, I posted pic of flax on 'Summer is here' thread
Some are calling it Mexican Petunia - I think it's lovely whatever it's called.
