Is this really cruel?
been torn about this for very long time now
everything has a right to live
I eat meat but often have a conscience about it from time to time
but we need to get as much from our gardens as possible
so to my dilemma................
toad in the hole Delicious but contentious I think
you guys must have similar culinary or otherwise anguish

You could head down the route many countries take when meat's in short supply and eat insects Verdi. Deep fried vine weevil and slug vol au vents....yum yum

Just some of the burns I received a few moths ago when making toad in the hole!
Not a big fan now funnily enough!
Can't get my head around the concept of vegetarian toad in the hole either!....discuss!

nothing wrong with eating hedgehogs, just like chicken, baked in the earth, very nice.
wish there was a recipe for moles, years ago OH brother used to collect then and sell the skins after preparing them, I think it was used in a plumbers toolbox.?
a friend of ours had squirrel for his Christmas dinner, he lived in Wales and the butcher sells them.
how about Spotted Dick, lovely with hot custard.
