    I have hostas just coming into flower and the leaves look pretty good as well. Not favourites on the slug menu unlike their near neighbours.image

    I've never used nematodes,and yes  by the end of the season there's some damage, but nothing I can't live with.

    I don't think I've even used half a tub of pellets all summer, only really use them if there's an attack on one, or a group but I try to find where the little beggars are hiding and , deal with them first.

    Bit early to be digging them up Lyn, but why not have a trip to Rosemoor this week?

    I'm sure there will be lots of lovely seed heads to , erm, admire?

    You could bring your cannas, stick them in the tunnel then we can head off in the van?
