I purchased this hoping it was a red leaved Ensete ventricosum banana plant but all the leaves are green. Any ideas if I have the right banana plant?

The canna is the smaller one in front. The big leaved one should be a banana.

the one in front is , I think canna Durban or Phasion, but the green one might be a canna too, not sure though, it might well be a banana, but certainly not what you bought as Ensete ventricosum.

I have Ensete ventricosum in the garden, but I ought to dig it up soon and get it under cover.

might sound a stupid question, but didn't you notice it wasn't red when you bought  it?image

I did think that but thought it may change to red once it grows. Learning curve
