Help is my Magnolia dead?
in Plants
i have really neglected my allotment this year due to work commitments. Apart from the invasion of weeds most of the plants are still doing really well but my magnolia is just branches. it has one new shoot which has a few little leaves but the rest is bare and life less. The branches are still flexible and bendy, they do not snap or even split when bent, which I know is a good sign but can the tree be saved? Or is the begging of the end?
The magnolia is only a baby not even a metre tall and ive had it for 3years. I am unsure of the type of magnolia as it was given as a gift but its flowers are a gorgeous deep pink.
any help and advise will be much appreciated.

Claire, how sad. I'm no tree expert but I'd make sure the base is clear without disturbing any roots near near the surface, give a liquid feed and water well. Others on the forum will advise you more & better I'm sure. Good luck.
It doesn't sound hopeful Claire
