Hi C3K I sowed 40 seeds about 2 1/2 weeks ago and have just pricked out 18 into 3"pots others are showing but are too small to handle yet. So be patient they are tough seeds and about the only ones I am lucky with cos they don't need any special treatment they don't need heat to germinate just don't let the soil dry out . Good Luck
I have sown mine direct into a new bed I've just filled with bulbs. They are 2 years old so maybe they will need the winter. Hope they don't rot. Thanks guys.
Have you sown the seeds outdoors in the garden, Hopefully they wont germinate till next Spring because they are not hardy in the first winter, I sow mine in the Spring for planting out the following Spring,I overwinter in a cold greenhouse, by then they are big plants and there is less chance of slug damage.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

If they were fresh seed they'll probably germinate soon. They don't need a cold spell to trigger germination
