Winter cover crop for empty bed?
We have a new garden and have managed to plant out most of the beds but one over the late summer.
We have seen that you can seed an empty bed with rye grass to over winter and then cut and dig it in the spring to improve the soil. This seems better than leaving a patch of bare earth but we are newbie gardeners and would appreciate advice?
