I cut mine done by a third, strip the leaves off. If it stays above 5degrees it will begin to shoot new leaves
Lovely
Thanks nodlisab do you take off every leaf just leaving sticks
Yes
I don't take leaves off unless they have succumbed to rust, in the conservatory they may bloom right through. Some do some don't. Then I cut down in Spring right to the bottom.
we all do things differently, I grow hundreds and that's what I do, Baslidon grows lots as well, so it's up to you.
I remove the leaves when the plant has begun dropping, then in the spring prune back the head of standards by a third, same with bush varieties.
Thanks everyone
I'm not sure if mine might go through they only have a couple of flowers left and leaves going light green/yellow so perhaps I'll pick most off. ( I'm used to my plant efforts ending up as potted sticks
)
