Hibiscus problem

I have a blue hibiscus which normally flowers, and looks fantastic. But sadly this year it went to buds then nearly all just fell off. I have watered it Fed it but to no avail. Does anybody know why this has happened. And how to prevent next year from doing same again.

Hibiscus is a tropical plant.  I don't think it does well in the English climate.  Why they sell so many is a mystery to me.................sigh.

Based in Sussex, I garden to encourage as many birds to my garden as possible.
