Nail in tree trunk
Hi all. I want to fix a bird box to a conifer in my garden and wondered if there is any type of nail I should avoid or even if I shouldn't do it at all.
Many thanks in anticipation.

We just bang in whatever OH has in the workshop
In the sticks near Peterborough
Aluminium nails are best as they don't corrode like steel ones and won't damage chainsaws if the tree is later felled. Not something found in the average workshop though!
