Treating a Tulip Tree

I have a 30ft Tulip Tree. A branch has come down and torn the bark of the tree with it. Should I treat the wound? If so what would anyone recommend, please?

Thank you so much for your reply. I've had the tree pruned but will leave the wound alone and let the tree heal naturally.
