    hollie - love the way the sun's just dropping below the roof in that first pic..dog looks happy image

    Just remembered about the geranium  which fidget was asking about. Here's a pic showing the leaves. Not sure if the 'crinkliness' shows up very well though.

    Just before I came in 3 swifts came very low and swooped through a low part of a hedge (just as I stood up from weeding) passing just a couple of feet over my head  - they are quite big birds when you see them up close and coming straight at you!   About 18" wingspan I would guess.

    A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

     Verbascum Clemantine; I posted it when it first started flowering, but it has exceeded itself now!

     The rose; Compassion, I wish I could transmit the scent too.

     Delphinium; no idea which one, it is actually royal blue but my camera does not register blues very well.
