  • Lovely garden Chicky... strange that you have more problems with deer than I do  and William the Conqueror lived here to hunt them because there were so manyimage.

Wintersong - expensive palaver - although OH constructed most of it, with me holding the spirit level and contributing words of encouragement.  Its basically my flower garden - so we tried to make a feature of it in itself.  Worth every penny as far as I'm concerned - it means I can grow tulips and roses againimage

    Thanks Bev and WW.

If William the Conqueror wants a job, I will happily give him a bed for the night (do you think he would dispatch bunnies too??)

  • I think the difference might be that deer are culled in the Forest but out there in the wider world the numbers just keep growing. Something will have to be done... and they taste so good too!image

Some beautiful plants in the photos everyone!  We must remember to enjoy the fruits of our efforts especially at this time of the year and this thread is a great way to do it.image

I find it's all too easy to be kept so busy weeding, watering etc that I sometimes forget to just sit in the garden and enjoy looking at it!

A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

I think this is a penstemon, a tiny one, I bought it at a plant fair last year and it hadn't got a label when i got it home

    Anyone know what it is?

Nut, could it be a phygelius or cape fuschia?

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
