I think worth remembering that these plastic greenhouses get very hot on moderately sunny days, so on such days perhaps just put them in there overnight.
Ah OK, not that we have had anything but cloud or drizzle for a while. They are only a week old so I was surprised to see such rapid growth! Thanks for the advice DavidK I will keep you posted and pester you some more I'm sure
Just as well I checked this thread - my seedlings are much bigger than WonkyWomble's (two pairs of leaves, most of them) and are still on a windowsill. I'll pot them on and put them out into one of these plastic greenhouses.
David K, they are two in one pot, so I thought if I repot them now, it'll be easier than later. (I'll know better next time and will sow one seed per pot!) Here's a picture:
I'm going to be boring again Sown a couple of weeks a go in the right temperature the seed shouldn't have even poked through yet.
Alas, we are where we are. The tubes are quite deep enough to last until planting out time without any re-potting.....if you try they will just flop over and it will be difficult to revive them. Pinch out the growing tips of those with a couple of pairs of leaves......then put them into your mini plastic greenhouse, door open all day & closed at night......outside during the day on sunny or mild days.
With hindsight, best the seed be allowed to germinate in the plastic greenhouse.

Bumping up for Emily!

Aster - sweet peas don't like root disturbance, so if your existing pots will mange for a little while longer, I wouldn't.
I've never 'potted-on' any of mine, I make sure they have pots with adequate depth to last until planting out time, when I sow the seed.

What do you think? I sowed them on 29 March.
I'm going to be boring again

These SP seedlings are about 4 months old and haven't had their growing tips removed yet.
Sweet peas are hardy (very hardy),,,,,,they react to artificial heat by growing spindly & weak......PLEASE DON'T CODDLE!!!
Thanks, David K!
