Sweet potatoes

Hi all,

I'm thinking if giving up on sweet corn after a couple of years poor return. Anyone had success in growing sweet potatoes?

I'm in the UK Midlands and was wondering if it's possible to grow them here?

    I grew them in Leics the summer before last (in a polytunnel) and while the top growth was impressive, I can't honestly say that I harvested a significant amount of tubers so  don't think I'll bother with them again.  Someone else on the forum also grew them and had better results but I don't know where they lived.
