How do i divide my red hot poker

I have brute of aRed Hot Poker it needs splilting up but not sure how to do it could someone offer any advise please

The normal way is to dig up the clump, put 2 garden forks in the middle, back to back and lever apart. Failing that, you can use an old saw or pruner. Don't use a good one as the soil completely kna****ers the blade
