I order a load of well rotted farm yard manure from my local friendly farmer. He delivers it by the trailorload for 30quid. It takes me a couple of years to get through the pile. I also have four compost bins and builders sacks full of leaves rotting down.
That would be nice but I have nowhere to put a pile of manure. I was thinking along commercial products, but thanks for your reply..
Now, I agree bagged manure - any manure - has value.
Agree - manure is what I use - I buy well-rotted organic farmyard manure in bags from the garden centre.

I recently bought a pallet load (60 x 50L bags Levington Farmyard Manure) from creative garden ideas which I shared with my neighbour. Worked out to about £3/50L bag.
It's OK, but seems to be wood shavings rather than straw amongst all the 'stuff'.
You can get manure on-line elsewhere which states it's mixed with straw, I've only found it available in dumpy bags, works out a bit less than £3/50L
Most of the local stables offer it for free, but it's fresh and I don't like the idea of shoveling it into the boot of my car.

I can get 6x50L bags for £19.99 which works out at something like 13p/L if you live within the midlands I think that they deliver. gardenstoreonline.co.uk.
the trouble is the word " compost"
Potting compost is a growing medium. garden compost is generally a soil conditioner.
Thanks everyone. Due to limited space and energy it is going to have to be something like Levonsons but appreciate all the comments.
