I have been given this autumn flowering bulb but don't know what it is and I took this picture of a pretty flowering bush in a car park. Anyone know what they are please?

The second looks like Mirabilis jalapa, not a bush, a half hardy perennial

    In the sticks near Peterborough
  • The bulbs are Amaryllis Belladonna I think, Ribs.

A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

The first one I think is a nerine.

I couldn't pass the first as nerine, it doesn't look like mine, but not familiar enough with the amaryllis to say

Just checked out the suggestions on the RHS web site and I now believe the first is Amaryllis Bellladonna and the second Mirabilis jalapa.

    Thanks Bob and Nutcutlet
