Hello all,

Yesterday I came back from Barcelona and there I saw one strange plant whit weird fruits (or not fruits?). So because I'm very curious will appreciate if someone can enlighten me what this plant is.

Thank you in advance!

  • Looks like a papaya.

    They can grow like weeds.

    What is a weed anyway?

  • Yes, it looks little like a papaya but it's smaller than it I think. For now I don't want to cut it, maybe after a time I will, but not now...If anyone has another ideas please be so kind to share them, thank you!

Chayote is a very rampant climber. Anyway, the plant doesn´t look much like

papaya either (this has broader leaves).

  • No, it's not a papaya or chayote or pow pow... Look at the leaves, they are small and this is rather a bush or something - I don't know but this really makes me crazy image That I can't find any information on internet. Because I tryed to search google but nothing!

  • My first thought was young cocoa pod too Jo, but I'm not sure they would grow in Barcelona.  If it is a cacao tree, the pods form directly from the trunk but I can't tell from the photo.

A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
  • I am sorry, I don't have other pic's...But I just remembered - when I cut off this thing ran something like milk, just like a fig. If this can help somehow...

  • Yes, this is what I was looking for! Finally, thank you!

Of course I don't intend to eat it image

    Thanks everybody!
