The chairman has taken down and cleared front door hanging baskets and found a couple of hairy ginger ones about inch long any ideas what they are and where to settle them?

Given the time of year, I suspect Sycamore moth:

Feeds on sycamore, field maple and horse chestnut leaves.
Haven't got either close by Bob but been very windy in the past weeks so could be off course praps will take them down the park
Good site landscape thanks the c/m thinks they are one of the tigermoths .
That's another quandary put to bed
