Pepper plants sick leaves
in Plants
So I have a few hot pepper plants with leaf problems. They grew up nicely but their leaves became wrinkled, and one plant's flowers/fruit keep falling off..like its being cut off, not like there's no pollination(sometimes there's a small fruit when it falls).
What do you guys think?
1st plant - not yet blossoming

2nd plant - the falling blossom one

The plants look as though they are suffering from a virus.
I agree with Philippa, too late for fruit, sow some more seeds at the end of February and start again.
I think ill give them a chance to survive the winter here in Israel, since i've had luck with many peppers from last year, and a few from a few years ago, still kicking and thriving!.
These specific plants are from seeds i brought home from a trip in north Vietnam from a remote village, so they have some kind of sentimental value to me and only a few seeds left..plus the climate is totally different, much colder and rainy there.
I hope they will overcome their sickness and yield some Vietnamese fruit!
Thanks Philippa!
Spike, plants don't look too bad to me, and your growing conditions will be much better than us here in Britain.
They look like a Chinense variety to me, and the leaves often thicken and wrinkle like this, especially if they've been over fed or had pest attacks.
Good luck with your plants.
Thanks Chris.
Do you guys think this could be caused by too strong direct sun?
by the way, first plant is starting to bud, I hope they will make it
