Plant ID Please
I have this plant growing in several places in the borders of my recently acquired garden.
It looks like a nice plant to me but I have no idea what is is or what it may look like when it flowers. Also is there anything I should be doing with it over the autumn or do I just leave it to do it's own thing?

Acanthus mollis. You can cut the flower stalks off when they fall over or don't look good any longer. The leaves will either collapse into a mess in winter or persist depending on the winter. Lovely plant.

and if you ever move it, new ones will spring back up as the roots regrow into new plants. Which can be a good thing of a PITA
Have you got some now Hosta?
it's not something I'm overly fond of Lyn. Invariably a bit on the scruffy side.
I have a patch of 10-12 - in a good year they look stunning, but with so little rain here this year, they're smothered in mildew, so they're for the chop in the next few days.
I find they self-seed all over the place too, but easy to remove when they're small
