Hello . I've just started runners.. They are now outside. Do I plant them inside or outside of the canes ?.

They are going to twine around the canes, so I would think it doesn't really matter, except they will initially get a smidgen more light on the outside of your structure. I presume you are creating a wigwam or a tent shape.
Yes wigwam made . I've planted on the inside . I will see how it goes . Thanks for the reply .
They won't mind, they'll go up whatever is provided - must get the poles on mine come to think about it - maybe tomorrow, it's too jolly cold just now!
I have been trying to design something quite architectural for the runners, but I only have 1.2m sq. so it will be a double skinned archway. Will post pics when it's done.
I have fantasies about making a pagoda in bamboo for the beans next year
I put mine on the inside so I can hoe around them without accidentally damaging the stems.
