Hanging basket in shade

Forester2Forester2 Posts: 1,477

The front of our house faces north so has any one planted up a hanging basket in this position.  The sun only reaches the front in the very late afternoon.  Any ideas?

Busy lizzies and begonias do fine, as will ivy-leaf geraniums if you plant two baskets and keep one in the sunshine - swap it with the one in shade every couple of weeks.

Trailing fuchsias will love the shade too.
