What are the advantages of John Innis over ordinary multi purpose compost? When should one use it? I just use multi purpose for everything but only because that's what I've always done

Good grief. What a muppet. All this time I've been impressed when my little plants do well and disappointed when they stop. Glad I asked before I planted up any more containers. I'm loving this forum.
