Seakale

in Fruit & veg
I've been given a small seakale plant (a rooted cutting really) I think they can get pretty huge and I don't have much space. If I force young shoots every years will that keep it small?

If you force a plant you must also allow it to grow to full size at the end of the cropping season or it will not produce well the next year.
Thanks.
I was thinking of keeping it uncovered once I'd taken a crop to eat so it could grow on for most of the year.
