I bought some dahlia tubers in February and then forgot all about them until now. They have just been sitting in a box. Will they be alright to plant straight into the ground now?

Yes, by the time they appear all chance of frost should be over. Altenatively pot them up in ordinary potting compost and keep them warm. They should show green leaves soon(beware slugs and snails) and then you can plant out in June.
